Hannah and Stephen/ Star 4 Equestrian/ St. Augustine, Florida/ Florida Equine Photography

I so enjoyed spending time with Hannah and Stephen at Star 4 Equestrian! Star 4 Equestrian offers such a beautiful location with an assortment of backdrop options, add Hannah to the mix and it’s kind of a photographers dream! I’ve enjoyed watching Hannah ride over the years at various events and seeing her around the barn. She even helped out her barn mates at our recent Horses on the Beach event! She is a member of our local YEDA team and has won herself a college scholarship by placing well at the national level! I think it’s safe to say that Hannah will go far in this world and horses will be by her side!

Meet Ollie! Heza Rockin Cowboy

Foal season brings nothing but joy to the Fast Horse Photography world and it means the world to me to get to spend time with these sweet new babies after they are welcomed to the world. Sometimes they are bouncing around kicking and bucking full of attitude and other times they are super snoozy woozy. Ollie was a little of both! My favorite moments were sitting a small distance away… watching him sleep and flip his little tail back and forth on the ground. Once he was awake he wanted to play with mom… who was as cool as a cucumber letting baby Ollie frolic around her as she grazed. New foal photography sessions are such a fun way to remember these precious early days of a new colt or filly’s life.

Getting to Know Cara Taylor Swift

I remember wrapping my hands in the mane of the horse and holding on for dear life as the horses galloped as a herd. Me blind in the dark as we launched into the woods. The lane was narrow and I remember feeling an occasional brush of another horse's body against my leg as we bounded in and out of the potholes.

Addie and Cruze/ Peak Performance Horses/ St Augustine, Florida/ Photography For Horse People

I was beyond excited to meet with Addie and her mother, Khela to start the planning process for Addie’s horse photography session with her newly leased horse, Cruze. Addie and Cruze spend their days at Peak Performance Horses, so it was the perfect location for their photography session. On the day of the session, the weather was bleak looking. Very overcast, windy, with a chance of rain. Well rain it sure did! The rain didn’t stop Addie and Cruze from having fun and finishing their session together. The goofier the holiday costume the better. Here are just a few images from the December 5th event. Check out all the cute Santa hats and reindeer antlers rounding barrels! Let Your Imagination Take You Along

Maybe you are like me. Lucky enough to own and spend time with horses… You have a bond with your four-legged’s, many go their life without. You embrace the sheer pleasure of horse and human connection.

But — THIS cowgirl and her horse exhibit the kind of wild freedom that doesn’t get to belong to many folks… and even for those who it does belong to… it doesn’t seem to last for long.

An unbridled sense of adventure and true purpose. Learning the lay of the land.
