Photographing Amber and Emily with their sweet horses was a special treat for me! I had photographed Amber at previous horse show events, but have never had the opportunity to photograph her sister Emily and NEVER in the context of an equine photography session. So it was a real pleasure to head out to their little farm located here in St. Augustine, FL to spend some time with them and their horses.

Addie and Cruze spend their days at Peak Performance Horses, so it was the perfect location for their photography session. On the day of the session, the weather was bleak looking. Very overcast, windy, with a chance of rain. Well rain it sure did! The rain didn’t stop Addie and Cruze from having fun and finishing their session together. When your mom picked you up after lessons, you shared your hopes of having your senior pictures taken with your horses. With tears in her eyes, mom said it was a lovely idea.

Ok, so a little secret about me is that I love, love, LOVE getting the opportunity to photograph full equestrian families. What does that mean? Well for me that means including ALL the family animals into a single portrait! So when Stephanie contacted me about photographing her family I was so excited for the opportunity! Her fur family consists of three horses, three dogs, and a sweet little pot-bellied pig named Nacho.
