Our session was set against the backdrop of a stunning sunset by a scenic pond, offering a serene setting to celebrate Lily’s transition from high school to studying mechanical engineering in college. Lily’s connection with Willow, a fancy little Chestnut, and Murphy, a truly gentle guy, speaks volumes of her dedication and love for the equestrian life.

They were our shared passion, our common ground, and the backdrop to many of our happiest moments together. Watching Kelly and Ava interact with Roland, Jake, and Pilgrim, I couldn't help but see reflections of the relationship my mother and I share. Like us, Kelly and Ava find their best times together in the company of horses, an experience I know all too well and cherish deeply.
Read More"Remember me" sessions are a celebration of these unspoken bonds. They are a tribute to the horse that introduced your children to the world of riding, offering them their first taste of responsibility, trust, and the unbridled joy of equestrian life. These sessions honor the horse that has always been your reliable confidant, the one you could count on for safety, comfort, and an understanding beyond words. The place you disappeared to when life got a little rough and the barn was your place of calm.

Read MoreSeveral years ago I had the opportunity to create equine and equestrian art with Tina and her horses and pups in St. Augustine, Florida. We created a specific piece that was printed on a vivid metal surface and hung in her home. When her heart horse, Skip a gorgeous buckskin, came into her life she just knew she needed a companion piece to the one we created in the past. I was excited to work with Tina again and couldn’t wait to spend a little time in her positive energy and in the path of her big smile! Not to mention… Skip is such a gorgeous boy!

Most importantly to me, I want the décor in my home to mean something to my family. To make us smile, laugh, and to take us back to the moment.

Connie was attending The Great Florida Cattle Drive, Reunion Ride held at The Florida Agricultural Museum in Palm Coast, Florida. Part of this event includes wearing period-based clothing such as what Connie wore for her equine photography session. The blues and grays of Connie’s handmade wardrobe matched her Florida Cracker Horse beautifully.

The Florida Cracker Horse is a distinct and unique Colonial Spanish breed of horse brought to Florida in the 1500’s and today the horse is considered a vital part of Florida’s heritage. Seriously, how amazing is that and why aren’t more horse friends doing it? Kira with Onsite Muse came out to the barn to do everyone’s hair and makeup and while I was waiting to start the session I kept smiling at all the laughter coming from them as they talked about their favorite times together spent with horses! We did a combination of green space images and black background portraits and Melissa did a couple of wardrobe changes to to fit the mood of the day. I hope they always remember this day and the laughter when they look at the wall art we created together.

Read MoreWhen I met with Kirsten to discuss her session goals for her equine photography portrait session with Fast Horse Photography, one thing was very clear. She really wanted to attempt to create an art piece that showcased her beautiful horses all together! Working with five horses can be a bit tricky when you want them all to stand quietly right up next to each other, but most importantly, one of her horses wasn’t doing well health wise. We worked together to create a timeframe that would work to pull it all together and I’m excited we were able to get it all done! I can’t wait to see it in print very soon!

Earlier this year I photographed Rhylie with her family at Need More Land and Cattle Co. located in St. Johns, Florida. A full equestrian family portrait was one of our goals for this session and we nailed it by including Rhylie’s mom, Joni and her brother, Marek and of course horse, Brownie and her two dogs, Rocko and Rollo. Images from this session were used to create a mantle piece family portrait in a beautiful handmade frame and additional print products including the sweetest holiday card!
