Set in St. Augustine, FL, at Ash N' Oaks Stable, I had the pleasure of capturing Lydia and her Texas cow horse, Whiskey in a photography session that was both vibrant and intimate. This day was set apart by Lydia's stunning choice of attire and the natural beauty of our green Florida backdrop.

During our creative consultation, Christina shared her vision for her equine portraits. She showed me the specific space in her home where she hoped to display the portraits of her beloved horses. We took pictures of the wall space and measurements, ensuring that the artwork we were about to create would not only fit perfectly but also enhance the beauty of her home.

Read MoreSeveral years ago I had the opportunity to create equine and equestrian art with Tina and her horses and pups in St. Augustine, Florida. We created a specific piece that was printed on a vivid metal surface and hung in her home. When her heart horse, Skip a gorgeous buckskin, came into her life she just knew she needed a companion piece to the one we created in the past. I was excited to work with Tina again and couldn’t wait to spend a little time in her positive energy and in the path of her big smile! Not to mention… Skip is such a gorgeous boy!

Most importantly to me, I want the décor in my home to mean something to my family. To make us smile, laugh, and to take us back to the moment.

Of course you can walk in to a home décor store and find pictures of horses… but do they have meaning behind them? Do they make you happy every time you see them? Do they elicit emotion? Do they bring back memories of the time YOU spend with horses? Maybe… but not like pictures of your own happy horses will!
Horse wall art created for YOU and of YOUR horses is totally possible! Reach out to find out how we can create equine wall art for your favorite spaces of your favorite horses.
Read MoreI’ve had the opportunity to Photograph Ilana several times. I’ve photographed her with her horses, her friends horses, at my photography workshops, with her dogs, when photographing horse tack for my commercial work, and just for fun! But when Ilana contacted me about capturing images of her horse Ruler in his final days of life…. my heart just sunk for her. One of the hardest decisions we have to make as horse owners is when we have to make end of life decisions for the horses we love. Ilana wanted to capture Ruler doing the things that they enjoyed doing together so we chose a lake side location where they could splash and play together one last time. In addition, Ilana wanted to have a full family portrait while Ruler was still with them. I will always feel honored to capture the connection between horses and their humans… but especially honored when equestrians choose to work with Fast Horse Photography for their end of life sessions for their horses. Hugs to anyone who has had to say goodbye to a horse.
