Abigail & Rosie the Riveter / Portraits with Horses / Elkton, Florida

Isn’t Rosie the Riveter the very best name for a little Connemara pony? I think so too!

I am beyond grateful to Abigail and her aunt Roxane for allowing me to work with them on a wonderful equine and equestrian portrait session! We arrived at a beautiful horse stable in Elkton, Florida on a cloudy morning with a slight chance of rain. Our plan was to capture a few must-have shots, but the majority of our time was spent capturing the bond between Abigail and her beloved horse, Rosie. Abigail had three different looks prepared, including a dress with boots, a classy sweater and jeans combo, and what I like to call “elegant equestrian” – the most polished version of our riding clothes before the horse dirt has its way with us. Abigail looked amazing in each outfit and Rosie was her perfect companion throughout the session. I am so thankful to have been a part of this special experience and to have witnessed the special connection between Abigail and Rosie.
