REMEMBER
United We Stand
It's crazy to me to think that there are grown people out there today that can't remember exactly where they were on Sept 11, 2001. I, like so many, can remember every detail of this day like it was my wedding day or the day my son was born. It's hard to believe it was 19 years ago. This day means something different to each and every one of us and has changed us all in our own way. It's proof to me that as a nation we will never forget.
I heard, then saw, United 175 fly past my office window and fly into the south tower. I moved to NYC from Florida in 1999. On September 11, 2001, I became a New Yorker. No matter where I live now, a part of my ❤️ will always be New Yorker. ~ Trina Steinbach
Each of us has a story.
Sometimes it’s hard to believe there are young people who only know about 9/11 from re-telling, watching YouTube, or reading about it in a history book. They were not alive to witness firsthand the tragedy which rocked the foundation of our country. Nor the unity of our nation as people literally crawled out of the rubble.
We must always REMEMBER.
Amen, 🙌 I remember Every. Traumatic. Detail. The emotions, the tears, the helplessness. 🖤 The unity our nation had afterward. May we see that unity once again someday, I pray.

We must REMEMBER the men, women, and children who died that day. The first responders who gave up their lives to save the lives of others. The HEROS, young and old, who tirelessly rescued people from the destruction.
We must always REMEMBER the way our country stood together in the minutes, hours, days, weeks, and months following the New York Twin Towers crumbling before our very eyes. The World Trade Center… gone.
We held candlelight vigils in our communities. Clasped hands with neighbors we never met. We had a gentleness in our hearts and spirits towards our fellow man. We quickly forgave and willingly settled our differences. We believed in each other.
Today, there is a sense of urgency and anxiety about our current political climate. We need to REMEMBER that at our core we are all one human family that can come together when we really need to.
.
We must REMEMBER in the midst of tragedy or hardship, we must keep moving forward. Have hope for the future. Teach our children that although we get knocked down, we CAN and WILL get up again.
This horse image sparks a different memory for each one of us. A personal reminder… where we were… how we felt… what we did to help others… our fears… our will to survive… the hope we have.
The artistic photo created by Fast Horse Photography reminds us of the power of the red, white, and blue and what the memory of the towers represent.
