Celebrating Milestones: Megan and Patrick's Beautiful Equine Photography Session
There's something truly special about capturing the bond between an equestrian and their horse, especially when it's a senior portrait session marking a significant milestone.
Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Megan and her beloved horse, Patrick, at the picturesque M & M Training located in Saint Augustine, FL. It was a gorgeous sunny evening, and the stunning oak trees with pretty sunlight filtering through their leaves, provided the perfect backdrop for this session.
Megan, a graduating high school senior, had three beautiful looks for her session. She started in her show attire, capturing the elegance and discipline of her equestrian passion. I like to call this the elegant equestrian look. Next, she switched to a casual outfit that perfectly reflected her everyday style and comfort. Finally, Megan donned a super cute blue dress that she wore for her homecoming and was able to repurpose for her session. I think this option added a touch of whimsical charm to the evening.
Throughout the session, it was clear how much Megan wanted to celebrate the journey she and Patrick have shared. With college on the horizon, she won't be able to take Patrick with her, making this session even more important. We focused on creating a variety of images that truly highlighted their bond: stunning "grandma approved" smiling portraits, sweet moments of connection and laughter, casual shots of their togetherness, and fun action shots of Megan riding Patrick, even jumping over a log obstacle available on the scene.
During our viewing and ordering appointment, Megan chose to showcase her images in a stunning hunter green heirloom album. This luxurious album, with its padded cover, is a perfect keepsake, ensuring that these precious memories are preserved beautifully.
Along with the album, was an included USB with all her favorite images, allowing her to share these moments online with friends and family and create graduation announcements to send to all her important people who couldn’t join her at her graduation ceremony.
Working with Megan and Patrick was a really fun experience, and I am honored to have captured this special chapter in their lives. As Megan embarks on her new journey, she can look back at these images and remember all the wonderful times she shared with Patrick. Here's to celebrating milestones and the cherished memories they bring!
